JONESBORO, Ark. – A 15-year-old suspect was arrested after police tracked down stolen items to him following a vehicle break-in spree last week in south Jonesboro.

At least one of the break-ins happened on the morning of January 3rd, police reports show. The aforementioned incident was between midnight and 7 AM at the 400-block of Silverstone Drive, where a laptop computer was taken from a vehicle.

Numerous vehicle-break ins and thefts were tied to this suspect from days prior. However, the stolen laptop was crucial to the story.

The morning of January 4th, the stolen laptop pinged at 209 Greenmeadow Lane. At 8:49 AM, police responded to the residence and spoke with the owner of the home, telling her the stolen laptop was showing in the residence. She consented to a search.

Police found several stolen items in the residence. Three guns, DeWalt power tools, and a camo backpack with items were recovered. In addition, police found eight hundred forty-four (844) Alprazolam (Xanax) pills. The report lists their street value at approximately $4,000. A jar of cannabis extract was found, too.

  1. There are many instances of juveniles 15 years old and even younger committing very serious crimes in Northeast Arkansas. When I was 15 my parents knew my whereabouts and I was not out breaking into cars and bringing thousands of dollars of contraband into the home. The law should require child support orders and force the payment of child support by wage garnishment when criminal behavior forces the removal of the juvenile from the home. In addition to financial loses incurred by crime victims there are financial loses incurred in the incarceration of these offenders.

    • Or maybe the public should take care of the failed youth better, and start caring up the education system & poor , I don’t think you understand how that life works but their parents probably don’t have wages to garnish.
