Suspect Faces Felonies in Greene County Double Stabbing

PARAGOULD, Ark. – Two people were in critical condition after a domestic dispute exploded into a double stabbing in Greene County.

Around 8:10 a.m. on December 31st, Paragould Emergency Services received a distress call from the 5000 block of County Road 707 concerning a domestic disturbance involving a stabbing. Before deputies arrived, one individual had departed the scene.

Upon their arrival, deputies discovered one victim of the stabbing in critical condition. Simultaneously, it was revealed that the individual who had fled had also sustained stab wounds. Paragould Police Department officers intercepted the second injured individual around 8:15 a.m. near the Tractor Supply Company. This individual was also in critical condition.

Emergency landing zones were set up both at Tractor Supply and Greene County Tech, enabling medical helicopters to transport both injured parties for immediate medical attention.

As of January 8, 2024, Christopher Cody Worsham, 38 of Greene County, was in custody in the Shelby County, TN jail and awaiting extradition back to Greene County.

Charges include:

– Domestic Battering in the First Degree (Class B Felony)
– Theft of Property (Class C Felony)
– Aggravated Assault on a Family or Household Member (Class D Felony)
