Frequently Asked Questions

Unfortunately, we have limited staff with even more limited time. We can't meet with you about a potential story, but you can send us the story through email. E-mail us directly at news@neareport.com

We mostly cover crime, human interest and public events in Northeast Arkansas. On occasion, depending on the situation, we cover stories outside of this scope.

Our goal isn't to report the same stuff everyone else is. We are trying to create new conversations or tell you details you wouldn't have known about otherwise.

Because we aren't the only one and we do not expect our readers to only come to NEAReport.com to stay informed. No one single news outlet can do everything. However, the more we have, the better. And each one usually has hard-working reporters who deserve to get credit for their work.

Please send us the link to the news article and specify what mistake was made and what the accurate version would be. We take all claims that we have made an error seriously.  But that said, we have published thousands of articles and there will always be typos (until AI proofreading for old articles becomes a thing).

If you made a simple mistake in the past and were arrested/convicted for something, we don't believe it should define you forever. If your record is expunged, or sufficient cause can be given, we will consider removing your name from an old article. Violent acts or repeat offenses will not be considered.

Because we are writing news and not a book.

Despite how many likes this comment gets on social media, our job is to tell as much of the story as we can, each day. If we only reported on news when all the questions were answered, we would never publish an article. And there is no magical bell that rings when we have the "full story."

We report as much as we factually can while remaining unbiased and pursue the unanswered questions as best we can in follow-ups.
