PARAGOULD, Ark. — A Paragould woman is accused of pulling a knife and threatening someone who was giving her a ride, according to a probable cause affidavit filed in Greene County District Court.
Brittany Osburn faces one count each of first-degree terroristic threatening and aggravated assault. Both charges are Class D felonies.
The alleged victim told police they were giving Osburn a ride July 25 when she grabbed a knife and said, “You’re gonna bleed today,” the affidavit states.
The victim stopped at a local store and went inside to call police, leaving Osburn in the vehicle.
Officers arrived and found Osburn still seated in the victim’s vehicle, according to the affidavit. She initially refused to get out but was later detained.
Detective Aaron D. Gamber wrote that Osburn denied having a knife after being advised of her Miranda rights but acknowledged threatening to make the victim bleed. Officers allegedly found a knife on the floorboard where Osburn had been sitting.
District Judge Curtis Hitt found probable cause and issued an arrest warrant July 25. He set Osburn’s bond at $75,000 surety.
If released, Osburn is prohibited from contacting the victim or witnesses and from possessing weapons. She was also ordered to live a law-abiding life.
Osburn is presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.
