PARAGOULD, Ark. — A Paragould man already facing theft charges is accused of stealing more than $2,200 worth of merchandise from Lowe’s over multiple visits, according to probable cause affidavits.
Investigators said surveillance footage from July 19 through July 31, 2025, showed Gary Dumas, 62, entering Lowe’s on at least four occasions. Each time, police said he was seen selecting items and leaving the store without paying. The total value of the stolen merchandise was reported to exceed $2,200.
Dumas, who has a prior theft conviction from 2019, was cited and released on the new allegations.
He was also arrested in June in connection with another theft case.
According to an affidavit filed by Paragould police, Dumas was seen inside Tractor Supply on June 6, 2025. Employees told officers he selected items and left without paying. Store personnel obtained identifying information for Dumas, police said.
In that case, Dumas was charged with theft of property, a Class D felony. A judge set his bail at $10,000 cash or surety. It is unclear whether his latest arrest constitutes a violation of his bail requirements.

All suspects are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
