Two Arrested for Alleged Robbery at Gunpoint of Woman in Jonesboro

JONESBORO, Ark. — Two suspects are facing serious charges after a police report alleged they waited for a female victim to arrive home before robbing her at gunpoint in the parking lot Sunday, Dec. 1 in Jonesboro.

The police report said the incident occurred between 7:45 p.m. and 7:59 p.m. on Dec. 1 in the 2500 block of E. Johnson Avenue. A 21-year-old female arrived home and was ambushed by two perpetrators.

A gun was allegedly produced during the robbery, which elevates the crime to aggravated robbery. Aggravated robbery is a class Y felony in Arkansas punishable by up to life in prison.

The report stated the woman was robbed at gunpoint in the parking lot. The suspects fled. The police report noted a stolen gray 2021 Nissan Altima.

Two suspects were apprehended. Mickylan Orlando Winfield, 18 of Jonesboro, and a second male suspect, 17, of Jonesboro, were arrested. The report notes charges of aggravated robbery and misdemeanor resisting arrest.

More information is expected to be released following the suspects’ probable cause hearings.

All suspects are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
