JONESBORO, Ark. – A woman who called 911 on several women found herself going to jail after police arrested her over the weekend in Jonesboro.
The incident went down between 8:45 PM and 9:37 PM on June 30, 2024 in Jonesboro. A resident on Belt Street contacted 911 in a frenzied state to report that a window had been busted out. The call, the first of four released by JPD, is tense.
Within a short time, a second 911 call is made. A third and fourth 911 call are made by the same woman. At this point, police have cleared the call and the dispatcher seems to be losing patience. The call is transferred to a desk sergeant at JPD.
Then, the dispatcher contacts a police officer and reports that the woman has called 911 “seven or eight” times. However, only four calls were released by police. The officer tells the dispatcher he is going to arrest the woman.
Jena Crawford, 22, of Jonesboro, was arrested for harassing communications and resisting arrest, according to the police report.
All suspects are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
