JONESBORO, Ark. – A violent robbery attempt at Cracker Barrel has resulted in the arrest of a suspect on several charges in Jonesboro.
The alleged crime happened on June 25, with Jonesboro officers responded to the parking lot of Cracker Barrel in reference to a disturbance. Police made contact with witnesses and the alleged victim.
The probable cause affidavit says the victim stated he was helping a woman with her vehicle that needed a repair when a gray Ram pulled up. A male subject got out of the Ram and pointed a firearm at the victim, while keeping it down by his side so it wasn’t as visible. According to the affidavit, the male stated, “give me everything you got.”
From that point, the victim refused. The male reportedly attacked the victim along with the help from other male subjects who were also in the Ram. The male subjects all got into the ram and drove away, as a night maintenance worker for Cracker Barrel approached.
Witnesses told police the man who walked up to the victim with the firearm was Caden Green. One of the witnesses was the mother of the suspect’s child, the affidavit says.
Police obtained photos from Cracker Barrel showing the grey Ram in the parking lot. An NCIC/ACIC search of Green showed him to have been stopped in a grey Ram on November 5, 2023. Green was arrested on June 29.
Caden Dovante Green, 19, is charged with aggravated robbery, a Class Y felony punishable by 10 to 40 years or life in prison. He also faces a misdemeanor battery charge.
Green’s next court date is August 23. He is being held on a $100,000 bond as of this report.
All suspects are innocent until proven guilty.
