Sonic Drive-In Scammed Out of Over $46,000 in Jonesboro

JONESBORO, Ark. – A police report alleges that a Sonic Drive-In was scammed out of over $46,000 recently in Jonesboro.

Authorities were dispatched around 7:32 PM on October 31 to the 700-block of S. Gee Street to the Sonic Drive-In location there, where a manager made the fraud complaint. The report says that sometime around 6:55 PM, an unknown male suspect was able to steal $46,086.15 from the company.

It wasn’t clear exactly how the scammer gained access to such a large sum except that the report described the company as being scammed.

With the incident under investigation, the report was masked, and most details weren’t available as of its release earlier this week.

Detectives are reviewing the case.
