Stabbing reported Saturday in Jonesboro; other reports from Memorial Day weekend

A victim came to St. Bernard’s around 1 AM Saturday with a stab wound to the left side of his chest. He claims that four unknown men fought with him while he was walking down the street (for unknown reasons to him) and that he was stabbed by one with an unknown object. It was not considered life-threatening. No suspects were known but the case was being investigated.

A vehicle was reportedly stolen Saturday morning around 5 AM at the 2600-block of Red Wolf Boulevard. It was a blue 2018 Toyota Corolla.

Someone entered a victim’s vehicle between Friday night and Saturday morning at the 2200-block of Clark Street in Jonesboro. A gun and other items were stolen.

Someone broke into a home Saturday morning at the 1400-block of Huntington and stole over $5,000 worth of property including couches, food items, clothing, a television, and credit cards. Even a bed was stolen.

Previously reported: A shooting incident happened between 8 PM and 8:20 PM at the Northside Ball Park, 502 N Bridge Street, according to the incident report released by JPD. The suspect, an 18-year-old male whose name is masked, fired multiple shots, hitting three and possibly grazing a fourth, JPD Public Information Specialist Sally Smith said. Teens tried to spend a counterfeit $100 at Sonic on Gee Street around 10 PM Saturday. They ran away before police could arrive.

A thief stole vehicle between May 19 and May 24 from the 400-block of North Fisher Street. It is a silver 2008 Volkswagen Jetta.
