PARAGOULD, Ark. – A Mississippi County man was arrested in Paragould on allegations of having two baggies of meth on his person.
Greene County Sheriff’s Department Sgt. Tommy Huffstetler was traveling north on South 6th Street behind a 2001 Nissan Altima with a Tennessee license plate. The vehicle braked and both lights did not work, according to the report, leading to the initial stop.
When the officer approached the vehicle, he noticed a backseat passenger who had a black container on his lap. The suspect apparently tried to conceal it in his waistband, which the officer noticed. He radioed for backup at this time.
Four men were removed from the vehicle and searched without incident. The container the suspect attempted to hide was opened and inside – meth. Two small corner cut baggies containing crystal methamphetamine were inside of the container, the report said.
Robert Lynn Stigall, 30, of Blytheville, was arrested. He faces a felony charge of possession of methamphetamine, along with misdemeanor charges for marijuana possession.
