Employee Accused of Stealing More Than $10,000 in Jewelry From Jonesboro Workplace

A woman who worked at a Jonesboro business faces burglary, theft and drug charges after police say more than $10,000 in jewelry was stolen and sold to pawn shops.

JONESBORO, Ark. — A woman is accused of stealing more than $10,000 in jewelry from people at a Jonesboro business where she worked and selling several items to area pawn shops, according to a probable cause affidavit filed in Craighead County Circuit Court.

Brittiny N. Watson faces three counts of residential burglary, each a Class B felony; three counts of theft of $1,000 or less from a building, each a Class A misdemeanor; one count of possession of drug paraphernalia, a Class D felony; and one count alleging possession of between 2 and 10 grams of methamphetamine or cocaine, a Class C felony.

Police responded to the business on Sept. 21 after receiving a theft report, according to the affidavit. An officer took separate reports from two victims concerning stolen jewelry.

During the investigation, multiple additional thefts were reported at the same location over a two-week period. The value of the stolen jewelry totaled more than $10,000, the affidavit states.

Detectives learned Watson had worked at the business since May 2025. Investigators checking online resources found she had sold several jewelry-related items to different pawn shops in the Jonesboro area, according to the affidavit.

On Oct. 2, detectives confirmed that an item Watson sold to a Jonesboro pawn shop had been stolen from another victim, police said. Detectives contacted Watson at work and took her into custody.

Before she was placed in a police vehicle, Watson told officers she had a pipe, according to the affidavit. A search allegedly uncovered a bag containing about 3 grams of suspected methamphetamine and a glass pipe with suspected methamphetamine residue.

During an interview, Watson waived her right to an attorney and admitted entering three victims’ rooms and taking jewelry, the affidavit states. She denied entering other rooms and told detectives she sold the jewelry to local pawn shops.

Bond was set at $75,000 cash or surety in an order dated Oct. 5. Watson’s next court appearance is scheduled for 8:30 a.m. Nov. 23 in Craighead County Circuit Court.

All suspects are innocent unless and until proven guilty in court.
