PARAGOULD, Ark. — Panda Express plans to open in the former Starbucks building on West Kingshighway in Paragould, according to an announcement from Haag Brown Commercial.
The restaurant will occupy the property at 2303 W. Kingshighway. An opening date was not included in the announcement.
Haag Brown executive broker Zac Qualls led negotiations to secure Panda Express for the location, the commercial real estate company said.
The property previously housed Mitchell Funeral Home before Haag Brown acquired and redeveloped the site for Starbucks and Freddy’s Frozen Custard & Steakburgers. The company said it also acquired an adjacent quick lube property to improve access to the development and a nearby intersection with a traffic signal.
After Starbucks closed its Paragould location, Haag Brown sought another tenant for the building. The company said the space drew interest from local and national restaurant businesses before negotiations resulted in the Panda Express agreement.
The announcement did not provide a construction schedule or hiring information.
