JONESBORO, Ark. — A registered sex offender faces a felony charge after authorities say he failed to complete his biannual registration and did not respond to attempts to contact him.
Cameron Dewayne Lambert, 35, of Jonesboro, was arrested for failure to register or comply with reporting requirements, a Class C felony.
According to a probable cause affidavit, Lambert was convicted of fourth-degree sexual assault in 2013 and is required to register as a sex offender. He was assessed as a Level 2 offender, considered a moderate risk, in September 2013.
The affidavit states Lambert registered with the Jonesboro Police Department in October 2025 and provided a Jonesboro address. His next biannual registration was due March 7, 2026, and he became delinquent March 16.
Authorities said registered sex offenders in Arkansas must report to their supervising agency every six months. As of the affidavit’s filing, Lambert had not completed the registration or attempted to contact the agency.
Lambert asked to be released on his own recognizance during his court appearance. District Judge David Boling instead set bond at $150,000 cash or surety.
All suspects are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
