Suspect Arrested After Alleged Death Threats During Fight in Paragould

PARAGOULD, Ark. — A Paragould suspect was arrested after police said he threatened to shoot and kill people during a fight in progress.

Luis Thigpen, 21, listed as having a Paragould address, was arrested after Paragould officers were dispatched May 23 to the 300 block of C Street, according to a probable cause affidavit.

When officers arrived, multiple witnesses or victims told police that Thigpen had made threats of shooting and killing everyone.

One witness told officers Thigpen said, “I will kill that bitch, and everyone here.” Another witness told police Thigpen said, “I’m from Memphis and I’m gonna kill you bitch.”

Officers arrested Thigpen on a charge of terroristic threatening, a Class D felony. He was transported to the Greene County Sheriff’s Office.

Bond was set at $150,000 cash or surety. A no-contact order was also issued, along with an order prohibiting Thigpen from possessing weapons.

All suspects are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
