PARAGOULD, Ark. — A Paragould woman is accused of participating in a residential burglary that resulted in thousands of dollars’ worth of property being stolen, according to a probable cause affidavit.
Lee Ann Hamilton, 43, of Paragould, is charged with theft of property valued at more than $1,000 but less than $5,000, a Class D felony, and residential burglary, a Class B felony.
According to Paragould police, officers were dispatched on Oct. 8 to a residence on North 8th Avenue for a report of burglary and theft. The alleged victim told officers that someone broke into their apartment and stole several thousand dollars’ worth of belongings.
Detectives later determined multiple suspects were involved, including Hamilton. On Oct. 28, detectives contacted Hamilton by phone to request an interview. During the call, investigators said Hamilton made self-incriminating statements.
Bail had not yet been set as of Wednesday.
All suspects are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
