Paragould Male Accused of Sexual Assault After Alleged Groping Incident

PARAGOULD, Ark. — A Paragould defendant is accused of groping his neighbor and later admitting to the allegation during a police interview, according to a probable cause affidavit.

Thomas Huffman, 34, was arrested for second-degree sexual assault, a Class B felony.

According to Paragould police, officers were dispatched on Oct. 11 to an address in Paragould for a sexual assault report. The alleged victim told officers that Huffman, their neighbor, had forcefully groped their breast the day before.

A follow-up interview on Oct. 14 at the police department revealed additional details. The victim told investigators that Huffman groped their breast twice and was told to stop both times. The victim said Huffman eventually stopped and, while walking away, said, “I’m going to f*ck you one way or another.”

On Nov. 12, police conducted a Mirandized interview with Huffman, who investigators said corroborated the victim’s statement.

Judge Dan Stidham set Huffman’s bail at $25,000 cash or surety. He also ordered Huffman to wear an ankle monitor and issued a no-contact order.

All suspects are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
