JONESBORO, Ark. — A felony battery case filed against a woman accused in a reported stabbing was dismissed Wednesday in Craighead County Circuit Court.
An order of nolle prosequi was signed April 29, 2026, by Circuit Judge Scott Ellington in the case against Tamara Green. The order states Green had been charged with second-degree domestic battering and that prosecutors moved to nolle prosequi the charge because it was “in the best interest of the parties.”
The order discharged Green from the case.
The charge stemmed from a Dec. 31, 2025, incident in the 800 block of Oaktree Manor Circle in Jonesboro. According to the probable cause affidavit, Jonesboro police responded to a reported stabbing and found the victim bleeding profusely from the left arm.
The affidavit said the victim told police Green, identified in the document as his girlfriend, approached him inside the residence while holding a kitchen knife with a red handle. The victim alleged Green moved the knife back and forth in a cutting motion toward him, cutting his left arm.
The victim also told police he fell back against a kitchen island during the altercation before Green pushed him out of the front door and locked him outside while he was injured, according to the affidavit. Officers reported finding a kitchen knife with a red handle inside the residence and a second knife during a search of Green’s person.
Green had been charged with second-degree battery, a felony. Special Judge Barbara Halsey previously set Green’s bond at $50,000 cash or surety.
The charge has now been dismissed by court order.
All suspects are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
