POCAHONTAS, Ark. — A defendant is accused of several serious sex crimes, including rape and first-degree sexual assault, in a probable cause affidavit filed last week in Randolph County.
Jackie Ray Allred, 54, of Pocahontas, was arrested on Sept. 25, 2025, and booked into the Randolph County Detention Center on charges of rape, a Class Y felony, first-degree sexual assault, a Class A felony, and sexual indecency with a child, a Class D felony. As of this report, jail records showed no bail had been set.
The probable cause affidavit states that the Pocahontas Police Department met with a parent of an alleged victim under the age of 13. The affidavit alleges that in July 2025, at an address in Pocahontas, the abuse occurred. The child disclosed multiple incidents.
Authorities conducted a “ChildFirst” forensic interview, a process conducted by trained professionals that produced a clear video record of the child’s first account. This reduces the need for repeated retellings, the affidavit said, protecting the child from additional trauma.
Through the course of the investigation, more alleged victims were identified.
On Sept. 24, police conducted an interview with an Illinois woman who reported that Allred sexually abused her between the ages of seven and nine. She described more than five instances of abuse. The second victim expressed willingness to cooperate with law enforcement.
On the same day, a telephone interview was conducted with a California resident who disclosed that while she was between five and seven years old, she was sexually abused. The traumatized victim did not disclose the abuse for nearly 20 years due to family secrecy, the affidavit said, but confirmed she is willing to testify now, if required.
“Collectively, these accounts establish a pattern of sexual abuse by Jackie Allred spanning multiple victims and jurisdictions,” wrote Sgt. Trason Johnson in the affidavit. “Each victim has affirmed their willingness to cooperate with the investigation and testify in court.”
Allred could face up to life in prison on the rape charge alone.
All suspects are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
