PARAGOULD, Ark. – A Paragould man is facing a felony theft charge after he was arrested while allegedly in possession of a stolen vehicle worth close to six-figures.

Zachary Gibson, of Paragould, faces a felony charge of theft by receiving after police received information of a possible stolen vehicle located on Jessica Faye Street in Paragould.

On January 8, 2024, the Paragould Police Department’s Criminal Investigation Division received the tip and officers located the vehicle at the residence. The VIN returned to a 2024 GMC Sierra 2500 Denali stolen on December 14, 2023 out of Texas. The vehicle had an MSRP value of $92,900.

Police located Gibson at the residence and transported him to the police station for questioning. The probable cause affidavit states that he was read his Miranda rights and agreed to speak to police without an attorney, where he gave self-incriminating statements.

On January 8, Judge Dan Stidham found probable cause to arrest Gibson. His bond was set at $15,000, “any form.”

Zachary Gibson is being charged with Theft by receiving, which is a Class B felony if the value of the property is $25,000 or more.

All suspects are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
