JONESBORO, Ark. – Authorities in Jonesboro are investigating an incident where a suspect may have caused possible brain damage to an infant.
The report was filed on December 7 when an infant child was brought into St. Bernards with possible shaken baby syndrome. Detectives responded to begin their investigation. The female infant, merely 7 months old, sustained a brain injury, the MO states in the report.
A 23 year-old male suspect was listed in the report.
No arrests were visible as of the latest update. NEA Report checked with Sally Smith, JPD’s PIO, on Monday to confirm no arrests in the case.
The incident was being investigated as a felony first degree battery case.
No other information was available. Detectives are continuing the investigation.
