Thieves Swipe Stove from Unoccupied Home Listed for Sale in Jonesboro

JONESBORO, Ark. – A home listed for sale attracted the wrong clientele recently after a report says thieves stole a stove out of the house.

On October 23, 2023, Officer Tommy Miller responded to a reported residential burglary at the 3400-block of Hudson Ct. The incident had already occurred when the officer arrived at the scene. Officer Miller spoke with the complainant who informed him that an individual had broken a window to gain entry into the unoccupied house, which is currently under construction and listed for sale. The suspect stole a stove from the residence.

The complainant also pointed out tire tracks leading from the property towards Greensboro Rd.

A statement was collected from the owner, including the serial number of the stolen stove. The report lists the serial number to the stove as 5nhv184121p. It was valued at over $2,500 while the damages to the window were estimated at $600, leaving a hefty bill for the owner.
