Gun Allegedly Pulled During Road Rage Incident in Jonesboro

JONESBORO, Ark. – Tensions on the roadway boiled over when a gun was allegedly pulled during a road rage encounter earlier this week in Jonesboro.

The alleged incident happened around 7:30 AM on October 23 near the intersection of N. Culberhouse St. and W. Thomas Green Road, according to the police report. A 61-year-old female driver reported to the police that someone in a white 2011 Dodge Nitro became angry during a road rage incident and brandished a firearm. The report didn’t say if the suspect aimed the gun at the alleged victim or made threats with it.

The report describes the suspect as a white male believed to be between 40 and 50 years of age, approximately 5’11” with a full beard and brown hair.

The incident was under investigation earlier this week as a possible case of aggravated assault, which is classified as a Class D felony in Arkansas. It carries a potential penalty of up to six years in prison and a fine of $10,000.
