Elderly Woman Targeted in Forgery and Theft Case

JONESBORO, Ark. – An elderly woman was targeted with forgery and theft in a recent incident reported to Jonesboro police.

The report was taken at 2:54 PM on October 17 at the police station when a female victim, 85, of Lakeview, Arkansas, contacted authorities by phone. She said that a suspect wrote a check in her name for $2,800 and then cashed the check.

The suspect’s name is masked, but he is described as a black male, 31 years of age.

The incident is under investigation for several possible felony charges, including forgery and theft.
