POCAHONTAS, Ark. – Two people were found dead of apparent gunshot wounds this week in Pocahontas in an incident not thought to involve anyone else, according to a release.
A press release sent to NEA Report on Thursday said at about 3 PM October 14, Pocahontas Police Department responded to a call on Park Street to find a male and female deceased of apparent gunshot wounds.
The investigation is ongoing, the release said. However, the release added that it is not believed anyone else was involved.
A source close to the investigation indicated to NEA Report that it was initially believed to be a murder-suicide. However, investigators won’t make that determination public until they have reached it with certainty.
No names have been released.
