PARAGOULD, Ark. — The Greene County Sheriff’s Office is investigating allegations of inappropriate conduct among members of the Greene County Tech football program, the school district said Monday.
In a statement shared on Facebook, the district said it recently learned of the allegations, promptly reported the matter to the appropriate authorities and is cooperating with the ongoing investigation.
The sheriff’s office also shared the district’s statement on Facebook.
“Because this matter involves students, the District will not comment on specific allegations concerning individual students or any disciplinary action involving a student,” the statement said.
The statement did not describe the alleged conduct, identify anyone involved or say when the alleged conduct occurred.
“The safety and well-being of our students remains a priority,” the district said.
The district said it is committed to providing a safe and supportive environment for all students and maintaining appropriate standards of conduct throughout its schools and athletic programs.
NEA Report reached out to Sheriff Brad Snyder early Monday regarding the alleged investigation but he has not responded.
