Groundbreaking Ceremony for The CALL in Lawrence & Randolph Counties

WALNUT RIDGE, Ark. — The Lawrence County Chamber of Commerce will host a groundbreaking ceremony on Thursday, June 25, 2026, at 10 a.m. to celebrate the construction of a new home for The CALL in Lawrence & Randolph Counties.

The ceremony will take place at the future site of the organization’s new building adjacent to Integrated Therapy on U.S. Highway 67B in Walnut Ridge. Local elected officials, Chamber leadership, members of The CALL, community partners and supporters will be present for the ceremony. The public is invited to attend and celebrate this exciting new beginning for children and families across Lawrence and Randolph counties.

The CALL is a statewide nonprofit organization that recruits, trains and supports foster and adoptive families while partnering with the Arkansas Department of Human Services to ensure children in foster care have access to safe, loving homes. Through collaboration with local churches, volunteers and community partners, The CALL works to provide hope, healing and stability for children and families throughout the region.

The new building will provide a permanent home for The CALL in Lawrence & Randolph Counties and position the organization to expand its services and support network for years to come.

Rachel Netrefa, director of The CALL in Lawrence & Randolph Counties, said the project reflects the organization’s commitment to serving local children and families.

“This new facility represents hope for the children and families we serve every day,” Netrefa said. “We are grateful for the support of our communities, churches, volunteers and partners who have helped make this vision possible. This building will allow us to better serve foster, adoptive and kinship families throughout Lawrence and Randolph counties for years to come.”
The groundbreaking ceremony will take place Thursday, June 25, at 10 a.m. at the future facility site adjacent to Integrated Therapy on U.S. Highway 67B in Walnut Ridge. Community members, business leaders and supporters are encouraged to attend.
