JONESBORO, Ark. — An 18-year-old suspect was arrested after Jonesboro police say he entered a residence, stole a truck and assaulted a woman during a domestic disturbance on Miller Street.
Patrick Anthony Osborne, 18, was arrested on allegations of residential burglary, a Class B felony; theft of a vehicle, a Class C felony; and misdemeanor theft and second-degree assault.
According to the affidavit, officers were dispatched on March 14, 2026, to an address on Miller Street regarding a domestic disturbance in progress.
Police said the alleged victim told officers her daughter’s boyfriend had broken into the residence, stolen her own boyfriend’s truck, and physically assaulted the daughter in front of her. The alleged victim said she had been asleep inside the home and discovered the truck was gone after looking outside, according to the affidavit.
The alleged victim told police she later confirmed the vehicle had been found inside the home. She said she began coordinating with her daughter to make sure she did not have the vehicle as she saw it turn onto Miller Street at a high rate of speed driven by her daughter’s boyfriend, identified in the affidavit as Osborne, stopping in front of the residence. Police said the daughter was seen in the passenger seat at that time.
According to the affidavit, the alleged victim said Osborne slapped the daughter across the face before exiting the truck. While confronting the three people involved, police said Osborne admitted to stealing the truck in order to stop the daughter from cheating at another residence.
The affidavit states Osborne then fled on foot before officers arrived. Police said the daughter was checked for injuries, and no injuries were observed at the time of the report, though she also reported being “bitch slapped” with a backhand by Osborne, according to a witness.
During a search of the residence requested by the alleged victim because officers did not know how Osborne retrieved the truck keys, police reported finding muddy footprints on a couch below a window that was discovered to be unlocked. Officers also noted what appeared to be floor mats stacked just below the window with mud covering them, according to the affidavit.
A bench warrant for Osborne was issued March 17, 2026, according to court records. He was later arrested on the warrant and transported to the Craighead County Detention Center on April 13, 2026.
Osborne’s bail was set at $55,000 cash or surety by Judge David Boling. His next court date is May 18.
All suspects are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
