Nearly 12 Grams of Meth Found During Search of Paragould Home, Police Say

PARAGOULD, Ark. — A Paragould woman faces several felony drug allegations after police said they found nearly 12 grams of suspected methamphetamine divided among four bags during a search of her home.

Paragould officers contacted Linda Sue Cole, 53, at her residence June 15. According to a probable cause affidavit, Cole was serving a suspended imposition of sentence and had a search waiver.

Police said a search of Cole’s bedroom uncovered approximately 11.9 grams of a crystal-like substance suspected to be methamphetamine. The substance was separated into four bags containing different amounts, with one of the smaller bags allegedly found on Cole.

Officers also reported finding two pills believed to be Schedule IV or V controlled substances in a bag with the suspected methamphetamine. Scales, a glass pipe containing suspected methamphetamine residue and a bong were also found in the bedroom, according to the affidavit.

Cole was arrested on allegations of possession of methamphetamine with purpose to deliver, a Class A felony; two counts of possession of a Schedule IV or V controlled substance with purpose to deliver, Class D felonies; and felony possession of drug paraphernalia.

Judge Curtis Hitt set Cole’s bond at $50,000 cash or surety and ordered her to wear a GPS ankle monitor if released.

All suspects are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
