Woman Arrested After Alleged Attempted Stabbing in Jonesboro Apartment

JONESBORO, Ark. —A woman faces felony charges after an alleged domestic violence incident Friday in Jonesboro.

Jonesboro police responded early Friday to a reported assault in progress at an apartment on North Allis Street, where a man claimed his wife attempted to stab him, according to a probable cause affidavit. Officers arrived around 6:22 a.m. at 345 North Allis Street Apartment 4 to find Felicia Horner visibly upset, prompting her detention for safety reasons, the affidavit stated.

The alleged victim, identified as Horner’s husband, recounted to officers that the altercation began the previous evening after he returned home from a party at approximately 6:00 p.m. on March 12. According to the alleged victim, Horner appeared agitated, leading to a verbal argument lasting about 30 minutes before he left to defuse the situation.

Returning home around 6:00 a.m. the next morning, the victim alleged Horner remained angry and proceeded to break a television before attempting to stab him with a kitchen knife. Horner purportedly threatened to kill him during the incident, which occurred in the presence of their child.

The alleged victim managed to escape by fleeing the apartment and alerted authorities. Police recovered the knife allegedly used in the assault as evidence at the scene.

Felicia Horner was subsequently taken into custody on charges including Aggravated Assault on a Family or Household Member, a Class D Felony; First-Degree Terroristic Threatening, a Class D Felony; and Third-Degree Endangering the Welfare of a Minor, a Class B Misdemeanor.

On Monday, Judge David Boling set bail at $50,000 cash or surety with a GPS ankle monitor ordered as a condition for her release.

All suspects are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
