Brookland Woman Accused of Aiming Gun in Traffic

JONESBORO, Ark. — A Craighead County woman finds herself facing a felony charge after a report alleged she aimed a gun at a man during a traffic dispute this week in Jonesboro.

The probable cause affidavit says on October 9, officers with JPD responded to a subject with a weapon. Dispatchers said the driver of a vehicle, later identified as Victoria Fisher, had pointed a firearm at the alleged victim while driving down the road.

Officers located the alleged victim and Fisher near the intersection of Culberhouse and Johnson. A traffic stop was conducted on Fisher. Once stopped, the affidavit says she exited her vehicle and began to yell at the victim. Officers spoke to the victim and learned he was traveling on Johnson near the intersection with Red Wolf when Fisher cut him off in traffic. The two continued on Johnson and as the victim began to pass Fisher, she allegedly presented a firearm and pointed it at the victim. He described it as a teal-colored pistol.

Officers detained Fisher as they investigated. She told them she had a handgun under her driver’s seat. Officers found the handgun, reporting it to be teal in color as described by the victim.

Victoria Ann Christian Fisher, 27, of Brookland, was arrested and transported to Craighead County Detention Center on a Class D felony charge of aggravated assault. Jail records show she also has a charge for driving on a suspended license, in addition to a failure to appear warrant. The bond was set at $7,500 cash or surety for the felony charge, with jail records showing a $3,000 bond on the suspended license charge.

All suspects are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
