JONESBORO, Ark. — Jonesboro is adding another highly-requested food brand in the form of Panda Express.
Carroll Caldwell with Coldwell Banker Village Communities confirmed the news to NEA Report on Tuesday, saying that they closed the deal and the “money was wired” on Monday.
The Panda Express location will be a corporate owned location, Caldwell said. The location will be 2100 Fair Park Boulevard, across the street from Lowes.
“I like to promote Jonesboro,” Caldwell expressed. “The more diversity we have in restaurants, the better it is for all restaurants. I’m excited about Panda Express.”
Construction is planned to begin next week with the expected opening to be before the end of the year.
“It was a pleasure to work with them,” Caldwell said. “It took a long time to get them to decide but once they did, it went fast. Jonesboro is attractive to large restaurant chains. The demographics are attractive.”
Panda Express is a prominent American fast-food chain specializing in Chinese cuisine. It was founded in 1983 by Andrew Cherng and his father, Ming-Tsai Cherng, in Glendale, California. The concept originated from the Cherng family’s passion for bringing authentic Chinese flavors to a broader audience. The first restaurant was established inside a mall.
The menu at Panda Express features a variety of dishes, including popular items such as Orange Chicken, Beijing Beef, and Kung Pao Chicken. The chain emphasizes the use of fresh ingredients and offers a selection of entrees, sides, and appetizers, including chow mein, fried rice, and egg rolls. In addition to its core offerings, Panda Express periodically introduces limited-time menu items to keep the dining experience dynamic.
The news was teased by Coldwell Banker Village Communities Tuesday morning in a post to Facebook.
