Free Business Planning Workshop Set for Sept. 8 in Trumann

TRUMANN, Ark. — Aspiring entrepreneurs and current business owners can receive free guidance on developing or improving a business plan during an upcoming workshop in Trumann.

The Arkansas Small Business and Technology Development Center at Arkansas State University will offer “Building Your Business Plan” from 10 to 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 8, at the Trumann Area Chamber of Commerce, 825 Arkansas 463.

Robert Bahn, a business consultant with the A-State ASBTDC, will lead the session. Topics will include how to begin developing a business plan, ways to strengthen an existing plan, funding considerations and preparing a company for future growth.

“A business plan is not only for startups,” Bahn said. “It can help an existing business evaluate where it stands, identify opportunities, prepare for growth and set realistic goals for the year ahead.”

There is no cost to participate, but preregistration is required. Participants may register online or call 870-972-3517.

Reasonable accommodations for people with disabilities and those with limited English proficiency are available when requested at least two weeks in advance.
