Traffic Stops Lead Police to Drug and Arrests

JONESBORO, Ark. – A traffic stop for hazardous driving resulted in two arrests Friday in Jonesboro.

Around 7:34 PM on June 28 near the intersection of Allen Avenue and Main Street, JPD Officer Levi Chism initiated a traffic stop on a black 2003 Saturn L200 for crossing the center line.

The driver was found to have a suspended license. Coty Lee Allen, 32, of Paragould, was arrested.

Police also found two plastic bags of a white crystallized substance suspected to be crystal methamphetamine. Jeremy Alan Wince, 44, of Jonesboro, was arrested.


In a separate incident later that night, JPD Officer Joshua Wayne Chaffin was traveling westbound on Washington Avenue when he noticed a gray passenger car with a headlight out. He initiated a traffic stop.

Upon investigation, the officer found 1.5 grams of meth in a small bag and another small bag containing marijuana.

Steve Randle, 47, was arrested for felony and misdemeanor possession and a failure to appear warrant.


Officers on patrol near Vine and Matthews made another traffic stop that led to a drug arrest around 9 PM Friday evening in Jonesboro.

Crystal Gordon, 43, of Jonesboro, was arrested for possession of marijuana and hydrocodone pills.

All suspects are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
