JONESBORO, Ark. – A Jonesboro woman was left cleaning up a large mess after her home was ransacked during a burglary, a report filed with JPD said.
Sometime after noon on April 20, 2024 at the 4800-block of Bedrock Drive, a suspect reportedly broke into a home and destroyed significant property, the incident report said. The report suggests the ex-spouse of a 48-year old woman is the culprit in the case. The suspect is described as a black male, 37-years of age. According to the report, a protection order was in place against the male.
A number of items were destroyed during the malicious incident, including a bedroom window that was busted out to gain access to the window lock. A king sized bed was destroyed during the burglary as was a large amount of home decor that was left scattered throughout the home. An estimated $2,000 in clothing was also destroyed and scattered throughout the home.
The report also indicates the suspect stole a handgun and an iPad.
No arrests are listed in the report. However, the suspect could face charges including felony burglary, criminal mischief, violation of a protection order, theft of a firearm, and other possible charges.

If they catch him/her they will probably be sentenced to 5 days of home confinement and not be allowed to attend any community events during this time, at least that’s what the sentence was for JHS vandalism.
