PARAGOULD, Ark. – A Paragould man is facing charges including felony child endangerment after an alleged DWI incident Sunday.

On April 7, 2024, Paragould police responded to the area of Highway 49B and Darling Street for reports of a Jeep in the middle of the highway. Reports suggested a male had his head down while a young child was seated in the front passenger seat.

Police arrived to find the Jeep partially in the roadway and in the wrong lane of traffic, according to the probable cause affidavit. Police identified the driver as Jayden Tillmon. Officers noted his 3-year old child was unrestrained in the front passenger seat with no child safety seat present in the vehicle.

Authorities conducted field sobriety tests of Tillmon, noting multiple clues to indicate impairment. A drug recognition evaluation was completed by an expert who noted findings of impairment, as well.

Tillmon was arrested for DWI and no child passenger restraint, as well as first degree endangering the welfare of a minor, a Class D felony. Judge Dan Stidham found probable cause to hold Tillmon, setting his bond at $10,000.
