JONESBORO, Ark. — The Jonesboro Police Department and Jonesboro Fire Department will compete for bragging rights Monday during the city’s annual Battle of the Badges blood drive.
The event will be held from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday, July 20, in the North Room of the Earl Bell Community Center, 1212 S. Church St.
Donors will be asked whether they want their donation to count in support of the Police Department or Fire Department. While the friendly competition will determine which department earns this year’s bragging rights, organizers said the event’s primary purpose is to collect blood for patients in need.
Appointments may be scheduled by calling 1-800-RED CROSS, or 1-800-733-2767. Donors may also visit RedCrossBlood.org and enter the sponsor code CityofJonesboro.
Each donor will receive a Fandango Movie Reward by email after donating, while supplies last.
