PARAGOULD, Ark. – Authorities in Paragould reported several new arrests on Thursday as they stay busy in Greene County.
On January 30, 2024, Paragould officers responded to 2802 West Kingshighway regarding a shoplifter at Walmart, a probable cause affidavit said. Employees told police they watched the suspect allegedly select items and place them in Walmart sacks before walking out of the store without paying for the items. The total amount of the merchandise was $87.22.
Authorities later learned the suspect had previously been banned from Walmart property on March 21, 2022.
Bridget Jenkins, of Paragould, was arrested for felony commercial burglary and misdemeanor theft. Detective Corporal Tron Beesley reported she gave incriminating statements during a mirandized interview. A $15,000 bond was set as a condition for her release.
On January 31, Arkansas Community Corrections agents conducted a home visit of a probationer, according to a PC affidavit. During the visit, several glass pipes with residue were found in the bedroom of the probationer. Mitchell Andrew Lankford, of Paragould, was arrested for felony possession of drug paraphernalia.
On January 23, agents with the Arkansas Board of Community Corrections conducted a search of a man at the probation office in which they found a glass meth pipe with residue inside, a PC affidavit said. Officers later located a small bag of meth on the person. Colton Wayne Broadwater faces felonies of possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia.
On January 14, Paragould officers responded to Wise Street in reference to suspicious activity. Records show police made contact with a man and his girlfriend. The smell of marijuana was noted by an officer, who asked the man his name. Allegedly, the suspect gave a false name due to being on felony probation. Authorities found 4.3 grams of crystal meth and a bong inside of the vehicle, the affidavit alleges. Daniel Isacc Hernandez, of Paragould, was arrested for felony possession, misdemeanor paraphernalia, and misdemeanor obstructing governmental operations.
On January 14, officers responded to LA’s Bar, 318 South 2nd Street, in reference to a male that was passed out on the ground in the parking lot. Officers made contact with the man who was unsteady on his feet and had a strong odor of intoxicants coming from his person. Even still, the officers gave the man a chance to call someone to come get him and take him home, but the PC affidavit says he refused. When searched, authorities found a plastic bag containing five smaller baggies of suspected cocaine. Mayron Ladell Toney, of Paragould, faces a felony charge of possession with intent to deliver and a misdemeanor for public intoxication.
All suspects are innocent until proven guilty.
