Local Man Arrested on Felony Charge Following Alleged Shooting Incident in Jonesboro

JONESBORO, Ark. – A local man was arrested this week in Jonesboro on allegations of discharging a firearm multiple times at a residence and vehicle.

The incident transpired between 11:02 AM and 11:28 AM on September 11 in the 2000-block of Dearing Cove. Authorities were alerted to shots being fired, leading to a swift response from several officers and detectives. Witnesses at the scene relayed their accounts of the events to the police.

Although a significant portion of the report remains shielded due to its investigative status, the available details were sufficient for law enforcement to proceed with an arrest.

The suspect, Deajhun Thomas, 18, of Jonesboro, is being charged with the felony of committing a terroristic act by shooting at an object, resulting in property damage.

This charge is categorized as a Class B felony. However, it would escalate to a Class Y felony if serious injuries or fatalities had occurred.

He is being held on a $350,000 bond at the Craighead County Detention Center.
