JONESBORO, Ark. — A melee broke out Thursday night at Walmart on Highland Drive in Jonesboro, and some of the fighting was caught on video.
JPD’s Public Information Official Sally Smith said no police reports were completed about the incidents. There were, however, two 911 calls.
NEA Report requested the call logs. In one of the 911 calls made at 7:17 PM, the caller states that 20 people were fighting, many younger. No associates were injured. One black Malibu left the scene on Highland Drive, but they were gone by the time police arrived.
A second 911 call at 7:18 PM reported that the groups were beating employees. The groups scattered and were in random parts of the store shortly thereafter.
Unless one of the involved parties files a police report in the case, Smith said it is unlikely a report would be completed on the incident.

Disgusting bunch of idiots…and NO POLICE REPORT completed. Why the heck not? Why did management not file one? “Unless one of the involved parties files a police report”…. Walmart can’t file a report from store video and police try to see who was involved? Ban from store if anyone can be id’d? Or is it all too much work?
I think we as a city should deserve better enforcement protection…We were mugged at target parking lot by a group of idiot kids.. the police report was a joke… even though we had video and had identified most of the kids involved.. because they were 16 to 20 in age the police did nothing. I’m 65 and was jumped by several and kicked in the head.. my wife was always mugged along with my daughter. There were felonies committed and no arrest were made. Dectective Morgan was a joke.. he and others need to be retrained. We pay taxes to be protected and heard in this city.
Something has to be done!
