
JONESBORO, Ark. – A Jonesboro resident was left shaken after falling victim to a robbery and theft, prompting authorities to initiate a search for the suspects.
The incident occurred between 12:30 AM and 1 AM on June 28 in the 2100-block of Fowler Avenue, according to a recent report from the Jonesboro Police Department (JPD). The report states that the suspects lured an 18-year-old male victim to the location, where they proceeded to assault him before forcibly taking his property. Among the stolen items mentioned in the report are three necklaces and a cell phone.
Police responded to the location and initiated a thorough search in the area, employing the assistance of a K9 unit and additional officers. During the K9 track, authorities discovered a purple hooded sweatshirt along with several other items. However, despite their efforts, the suspects managed to evade capture.
The suspects are described as two black males, the first being 18 years old, measuring approximately 5’10” and weighing 120 pounds while the second individual is 20 years old, stands at 5’7″, and weighs 144 pounds. The report lists specifics like eye color, hair color and length, and more that isn’t visible publicly visible due to the investigative status. The specific details suggest that law enforcement may possess the identities of the perpetrators.
The suspects are anticipated to face charges including felony robbery, classified as a Class B felony carrying a potential sentence of five to 30 years in prison, along with misdemeanor theft charges.
