
JONESBORO, Ark. – An improper turn during a traffic stop led to the arrest of two individuals on a felony warrant and the seizure of a substance believed to be fentanyl Friday in Jonesboro.
At approximately 2:30 PM on June 16, Officer Corey Obregon of the Jonesboro Police Department observed a white SUV making an improper turn from Kathleen onto Highland, according to the police report. The report states that two suspects, identified as 32-year-old Carmen Pickle from Harrisburg and 31-year-old Anthony Dewayne Mcphink from Trumann, were found to have a felony warrant.
During the arrest, one of the suspects was found to be in possession of fentanyl and drug paraphernalia. Carmen Pickle was booked on the charge of possession of fentanyl with the purpose to deliver or manufacture, which is classified as a Class C felony. The report says two used needles, a pill cutter, and a melting spoon were collected into evidence.
In addition, Anthony Dewayne Mcphink was booked on a parole violation, as indicated by jail records.
