Knife wielding man arrested for felony threats

JONESBORO, Ark. – Authorities responded to a report of a man threatening others with a knife and arrested one Sunday afternoon in Jonesboro.

It happened around 2:31 PM on April 16 at the 400-block of Calion Street. A third party to the disturbance called police about the incident. The MO states a suspect used a knife to make threats against the victim’s life. Most information contained in the report was masked to public view but the incident does detail an arrest.

Angel Mejia-Lopez, 31, of Jonesboro, was arrested on charges of assault on a family/household member, a misdemeanor, and felony first degree terroristic threatening. Jail records show at least one warrant for non-payment of fines as well as an assisting other agencies note.
