JONESBORO, Ark. — A suspect is facing a criminal case in Craighead County after authorities said he threatened to kill the mother of his son.
Dwayne Alan Albin, 42, of Zachary, La., is accused of first-degree terroristic threatening, a Class D felony.
According to a probable cause affidavit, Chief Deputy Justin Rolland was informed by email on April 29, 2026, that Albin had allegedly threatened the life of his son’s mother. The statements were made in front of bailiffs Frank Mull and Jeff McGinnis, who sent the information to Rolland.
In the statements, Albin allegedly said it was over for the woman, that she had “just got him 10 years” over an order of protection, and that “she will not make it to this evening and that she will be dead,” the affidavit states.
Albin also allegedly said that when he gets back to jail, he is going to call his boys and “that bitch was going to die,” according to the affidavit. Mull and McGinnis said Albin did not care about making the threats in front of law enforcement.
Albin was interviewed on April 30, 2026. Authorities said he was read his Miranda rights and declined to speak, requesting an attorney.
Bail was set at $25,000 cash only by District Judge Tommy Fowler. The judge noted Albin had just violated an order of protection that was put in place last year.
Albin’s next court date is May 18, 2026.
All suspects are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
