Regional High School Artists Win Awards in BAM’s ‘Inspired’ Exhibition

JONESBORO — Bradbury Art Museum (BAM) opened the annual “Inspired” exhibition with a public reception and awards announcement Thursday, Jan. 13. Bradbury Art Museum is in Fowler Center, 201 Olympic Dr., on the campus of Arkansas State University.

Each fall, local area high school students are invited to participate in a series of educational activities leading up to the exhibition of their work. A juror makes selections to be exhibited in the annual “Inspired” exhibition, and designates those to receive purchase, merit, and best in show awards.

The juror for “Inspired 7” was Peter Kuper, the 2020-21 Jean Strouse Fellow at The New York Public Library’s Cullman Center.

Included in the exhibition are works by 51 students from nine schools. The award winners are as follows:
