The Jonesboro Police Department is actively seeking tips regarding the reported carjacking last week in Jonesboro, a release posted by the department to Facebook said Monday.
The incident is in reference to a scary report made to police last week alleging several masked men with guns attempted to carjack a young man driving a BMW in Jonesboro.

He said as he approached the intersection, a black Chrysler 300 pulled in front of him, slammed on the brakes, and two suspects exited the vehicles. He described both in ski masks with handguns. He said they failed at breaking into his vehicle and got back into their own and fled as more people began to notice the events.
