LITTLE ROCK –Two men were arrested last week for crimes involving children, the attorney general’s office said.
Arkansas Attorney General Leslie Rutledge announced on April 11 the arrest of two northeast Arkansas men on unrelated charges for crimes involving children.
Brik Waggoner, 68, of Black Rock was arrested by the Attorney General’s office Cyber Crimes Unit on 30 counts of distributing, possessing or viewing of matter depicting sexually explicit conduct involving a child, a Class C felony. He is currently being held on bond at the Lawrence County Detention Facility.
James Hix, 61, of Mount Pleasant was arrested by the Attorney General’s office Cyber Crimes Unit on 30 counts of distributing, possessing or viewing of matter depicting sexually explicit conduct involving a child, a Class C felony. He is being held on $100,000 bond at the Izard County Detention Facility.
Special agents in the Attorney General’s office seized multiple electronic devices from both residences.
The cases are being turned over to Third Judicial District Prosecuting Attorney Henry Boyce and Sixteenth Judicial District Prosecuting Attorney Holly Meyer respectively.
