HORSESHOE BEND, Ark. — Two people reported missing after going kayaking on the Strawberry River have been located safe, authorities said.
The Izard County Sheriff’s Office said at 5:45 a.m. Friday, June 26, that Danny Moran, 72, and Megan Moran, 40, had both been found safe.
Authorities in Izard and Sharp counties had been searching for the two after they put in at Horseshoe Bend on Thursday, June 25, with a planned destination of Evening Shade. They were reported missing at about 12:30 a.m. Friday.
No other details about where they were found were immediately released.
