
JONESBORO, Ark. – While a Jonesboro woman was at work, a criminal made her the victim of a burglary, stealing several valuable items, Tuesday afternoon.
At about 4:40 p.m. Tuesday evening, police in Jonesboro arrived at the 6000-block of Crowleys Ridge Road. They met with the victim, 27, who had left for work that morning. She returned home to find the window to her door busted open and her home having been entered by a crook.
Someone went through her bedroom, pilfering items stealing several pieces of jewelry – one of which was a class ring with the victim’s initials on it (SFW). Another was an oval ring with MW and a single diamond. A third ring, gold with an emerald and diamond, was also taken.
Earlier in the day, the woman’s brother said a suspicious person knocked on the door, asking for a, “bottle.” It was reported this person had approached the residence at around 12:20 p.m. He was described as a white male, 40-50 years of age.
The victim’s father found several footprints in the woods, nearby. The officer was unable to get a clear photo of them, the report said.
