JONESBORO, Ark. – A local favorite has news that won’t be favorited by anyone who has been there:
Presley’s Drive In is seeking new ownership.
The sad news was confirmed in a Facebook post on Monday by Presley’s Drive In management stating they are looking for someone to continue in the hometown tradition. The general manager of the restaurant is David Stallings.
We are continuing the business for a while in hope of finding a buyer. – David Stallings
The diner, on Gee Street in Jonesboro, has been around for over 40 years, the Facebook page says. Posts by the page admin indicated the restaurant’s staff had worked themselves to the point of being too stressed to continue.
Another comment by the Presley’s page said they are asking $150,000 or best offer for the business and property.
The business was full of hungry consumers Tuesday afternoon, as it often regularly is.
